© 1999 Jose Javier Martinez
Javier Martinez was born in the South of Spain in 1971. He studied Art in Granada and Set Design in Rome. In 1995 his short novel "El Ingenio de Arnolfius Crownley" was published as finalist of the Federico Garcia Lorca Award. In 1996 he won a Fulbright Scholarship to study Animation at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television (Los Angeles). This is his first completed film.
This is a technically simple work that was clearly made by a student of one of the United State's premiere film schools, the Film and Television Department of UCLA. The artist does not try to shock the viewer with his technique but instead, skillfully presents a well-crafted story that keeps the viewers interest to the end. The story is well composed, the cuts are well timed and the characters are expertly developed. We can expect great works from Jose in the future.
