Award Reason

The simplicity and beauty of "Anjyu" leaves viewers with a fresh aesthetic impression. Computer graphics has been preoccupied with spending exorbitant amounts to see how closely reality can be simulated and recently has had its limitations brought to light. This is why we feel a certain wonder at the earnestness and loveliness of "Anjyu", which is no doubt a result of its admirable incorporation of the computer's personal aspect into artistic expression. In any case, it is a beautiful work. The choice of "Anjyu" for the Grand prize is one we can take pride in and gives us hope of more such brilliant creations to come.
