Award Reason

Maximising the gag sense of the original manga characters, and coupling it with excellent scripting and directing, this feature length animation movie series "Crayon Shinchan" has maintained the content and high quality to be fully enjoyed by adults as well as children. Last year's Otona Teikoku no Gyakushuu was a wonderful work, containing a perfect perspective of era, and this Arashi wo yobu appare! Senngoku daigassen is a feelingly pleasant film. Although the kids take active roles in the film, it does not flatter the children audience, and we highly applaud the sensitivity of the work.
