Award Reason
The uneven three dimensional text that emerges on the water's surface due to the upper and lower surface irradiation, is navigated by the hand's tactual senses. The visual image of light, shot from bottom up, passes through the water's surface, and creates another world on the ceiling. The screen text is in a standstill until contact with the water's surface, but the moment a finger comes in contact, the line wavers and contracts, and the page is turned. To stop the body from escaping the force of gravity, a strong relation exists between the body and directionality. The right to left or up to down directionality of the space in this work, creates a tranquil environment for the dialog of space and body as a response to viewer interaction.
