Displayed one after another on a modified record player are news items from around the world on “death.” Four lines of text, each consisting of 60 characters, emerge in a steady cycle, and slowly fade away. Creating the characters on the record, which is coated with phosphorescent paint, are computer-controlled LEDs which are mounted at the end of the pick-up arm. The news flows out and disappears in an instant. This work expresses the fear of the information overload from the mass media.
