This is the second in a series of animated features based on Berserk, a manga depicting an imaginary world inspired by medieval Europe. The kingdom of Midland invades the impregnable stronghold of its enemy, Doldrey, but is annihilated in the process. Griffith, the charismatic leader of a mercenary army called the Band of the Hawk, suggests to the king that his warriors be allowed to embark on a solo campaign.
