The author’s previous work I Care Because You Do clearly reflects his own past experiences, and he created this SF manga after the Great East Japan Earthquake. It is set in a small village on a small island wrapped in tranquility and night, and raises questions about economic growth, energy, urban and rural areas, depopulation, the flaws of majority voting and the nature of gentleness.
Born in Hiroshima Prefecture. He made his debut with Ouson Sensou (The War in Ou Village) in 2004.
