In the 1950s, anti-Communist movement in the United States intensified as the Cold War deepened. In Hollywood, a series of wellknown filmmakers were accused of being communists. The Hollywood Ten who refused subpoenas or declined to testify were found guilty, and the next target would be master director Elia KAZAN. The story of betrayalsuffered by KAZAN at the hands of both country and organization is depicted in detailed manga panels.
