Ontenna is a device applied to a user’s body for perceiving sounds through vibrations and light, introduced in deaf schools to practice speech and rhythm. Using its programming function, students of a deaf school and a middle school held a workshop at Les Archives du Cœur, an artwork by Christian BOLTANSKI located in Kagawa Prefecture’s Teshima Island. The participants discussed differences in their perceptions and impressions of the artwork.
